TigerText, All In The Timing
It is pretty interesting that the new application TigerText has been released on the heels of all of the controversy surrounding professional golfer Tiger Woods. This new iPhone 3GS unlocked application lets people control how long some of their text messages are stored on their mobile devices. If you begin to search for any information regarding the TigerText app, you will surely see many articles relating this app to the unfortunate circumstances that Tiger Woods has gone through. As you all may know, Tiger was caught being involved with several mistresses, and perhaps the most telltale sign of all of this was the fact that he did not get rid of one of his text messages, and it is believed that his wife found it.
Everyone is saying that it is just very convenient that this application has the word Tiger in it, however the company has stated that it was developed prior to the Woods scandal. Perhaps if Tiger had this app, he may not be in the mess he is in right now. The company is stated that it named its new application Tiger because Tigers are very difficult to find and they relate this to the fact that you can get rid of your messages, as well as call logs, without being tracked. The application will let you set up a time limit on how long you will want a text message to remain on your phone. When the time limit has come up, it will automatically erase the message.
Right now, you can download it for free on a trial basis for 15 days. During the trial, you will be able to use it for the first 100 messages that you receive. Once the trial is over, you will be charged at dollar 49 for every 250 messages sent. Right now this application is only available for the iPhone unlocked, however. The developers anticipate that they will be able to release it for the Blackberry and android platforms within the near future. This is certainly my guess, but I am sure that Tiger Woods has already signed up.
