Moto-Droid will soon be able to make use of the latest versions of Google’s OS

For the pleasure of your installing, just a few days ago, we got our hands on the first Android 2.2 leaked build, also known as Froyo for the Unlocked Motorola Droid. With a latest ROM available, this one being the legitimate deal, which implies the Verizon official build version, will be available in handsets soon.

Rather than the first leaked build we saw which was unable to solve a bug the latest ROM fixes the problem, FRG22 is a notch higher from the previous, FRG01B. One of Verizon’s internal documents which was uncovered by Droid-Life, points to the forthcoming Froyo update by its FRG22 build number FRG22. I guess that is enough evidence to think that this ROM is not the official. Unlike the Nexus One at least, it’s better to see that this version is not followed by other test builds. Hopefully, Droid owners can install this without worrying about something fresher coming up.

With the authorized ROM apparently available, we will be expecting Droid 2 hardware sometime soon. If that does prove to be try, and if the August 12 is a success, Samsung Epic 4G may be launched a day prior to the launch of Droid 2, quite similar to what Verizon did when it introduced the Droid X a day prior to the launch of Unlocked iPhone 4. That will be like a taste of their own medicine for Verizon, but Epic 4G is a highly considerable option before purchasing the Droid 2.

If all the peripherals go as per plan, you’ll have the option of choosing from among two Android smartphones with QWERTY keyboard.

Apple iPhone 4 owners are now simply falling in love with the device

We have got some new survey results with us where we have found out something which is well against the huge fiasco which was going on regarding the Unlocked iPhone 4. This is astounding as all the reports which we had got about this phone were all negative and there was not a sign of anything positive happening. This is something which we actually do not want to change as it is finally some good news about this device which definitely has huge potential. According to the reports that we had, over 70 % of the respondents in the survey had said that they were actually pretty satisfied with the performance of the Apple iPhone 4. Other than that around 21% have said that the service of this phone was only “somewhat” satisfactory. Although this is a welcome reprieve for Apple, it pales in comparison to the 82% satisfaction rate of the earlier iPhone 3GS which was surveyed earlier in the year 2009.

Still the company should be pretty happy about this as the Unlocked iPhone 4 has received a huge amount of criticism with the now infamous problem of the death grip and the reception dropping as you held the phone in a particular way. In fact such surveys have said that users in the market have actually rated it above some of the BlackBerry phones. There are a number of reasons why this phone has actually been rated this highly by the people who have been surveyed here. One of the major things is the indigenous Retina Display which is excellent, Other than that; there is the 5 megapixel camera which has been really liked. Furthermore this phone has brilliant battery life along with multitasking capabilities. In this relation, the downside is the need for AT&T whereby the coverage for this network is pretty low and unsatisfactory.

Users of the iPhone will now be able to get 4G connectivity

Apple iOS devices are soon to be getting new mobile hotspot services from Clearwire. This has been confirmed recently by the service provider as they will be coming out with the design for this device which will be compatible with the Unlocked Apple iPhone4, iPad and iPod. The iSpot will be getting 4G services up and running for WiFi hotspots which will for at a distance of 150 feet or so. We have tested this new service out and we have got pretty good results where we have received internet connection speeds between 2 to 9 mbps on the EVO 4G. This service will be costing some amount of money, to the tune of around $100, but you can also sign up for it at special prices of $25 where the facility will be available for a month where you get unlimited 4G access. There is however no long contract which is available in this relation term. However this device will only be compatible with the Apple iOS instruments and therefore there is no chance of you being able to use this for your home’s net connection.

This hotspot feature means that you can now use the internet on your Unlocked iPhone 4 and iPad 3G without having to pay all the additional charges which are levied on the users otherwise. Furthermore, this hotspot feature will mean that a greater bandwidth will be available for you to access on your Apple iPad which is something that any 3G service will not offer any way. With this new service the iSpot, the users of the iDevice will not have to be confused with a huge amount of payment options and data usage plans which can be pretty dicey otherwise. With the Clearwire service, the users can now run Apple mobile devices with full broadband speed with the payment of a small monthly fee.

New Samsung mobile finally comes out

Samsung is highly enthusiastic about a new product called the Windows Phone 7 whose handset is already available in the market in order to stretch its assisting hand to journalists and developers. We all know that throughout this period of time we have been handling hardware which was pre-produced using a software version that was even produced from before.  We are reminded about this pre-production process, which is not an advantageous idea while introducing an entirely new product named Samsung i917, which is finally outed as official. It is named as Samsung Cetus. The word Cetus often reminds us of the worn fetus, but that point is out of discussion here.

The name Cetus was first thought of by Bluetooth Special Interest Group also known as Bluetooth SIG, in an online document supplying the detailed specification of the phone. The phone is actually provided with 4 inch 800 x 480 AMOLED screens with a camera of 5 mega pixel usually at the back of the phone along with a VGA in front of the set for video calling. Every other facility provided is actually found in most of the unlocked smartphones available these days. But the customers are still hoping that the software and the hardware of this phone is at par with the Unlocked Galaxy S smartphones. If the Windows phone 7 lives up to the level it had promised, this phone can turn out to be huge for Samsung.

In the market of smartphones in US, they continue to captivate and enchant: the Epic- Unlocked iPhone 4G along with HTC, Motorola, Apple and RIM can easily cement the chances of this new innovation of Samsung. And this phone would certainly provide a nice edge to its Korean counterpart who has actually failed to make waves in the market after the Ally. Hence the discovery of the new i917 by Samsung should be implemented effectively in order to make a difference in the market.

Vaja super cases for iPhone 4

Vaja has always come up with innovative cases for several models of phones. There are an immense number of selection options available. There are cases for Apple iPad and Blackberry. They are great in style and design. Recently, they have come up with iPhone 4 cases and they are unique in their style and are extremely useful. They are affordable and you can purchase such cases from Vaja depending on your budget.

There are a number of categories to choose from again for iPhone 4. The flip-lid case is good for protecting the phone but sometimes it poses a problem for iPhone 4 users who believe that a touchscreen phone is difficult to operate with a flip-lid case covering. It may be useful, yet a problem in its own way. The ‘black series’ of the Vaja cases of the flip-lid cases of Vaja cost around $80 and has a sleek look. Really stylish flip-lid covers for Unlocked iPhone4. ‘IVolution Top SP’ cases are equally good if not better. It has stripes which gives a distinct look to these cases. It comes at a cost of around £60. The ‘iVolution Top’ cases are also available which has everything minus the stripes of ‘iVolution Top SP’. This costs £54. The most expensive cases of Vaja come at the cost of £75 and are called ‘iVolution Stripes case’. They are quite similar to ‘iVolution Top Sp’ but differ in the fact that there are multiple color options to choose from which are rather unique.

If you are still not satisfied with the cases on offer, you can always use a slim bag for your Unlocked Apple iPhone 4. It might not be a flip-lid case but a bag is usually quite useful both for protection and use. The bag cost £40. The bag is highly useful if you are looking to avoid the hassles of the flip-lid.

New Tour de France game now on iPhones

With the given advancements in technology, you have seen a lot of new things spring up. And amongst the thousands of other applications, gaming has really soared. It first started out as video and then got changed to computer games and finally games available on the cell phone.

There is hardly any major sporting tournament left behind that a game hasn’t been dedicated to the sport or the tournament. All that was left was the Tour de France. Yes, the biggest cycling race in the whole world is on its way to get its very own game in the Unlocked iPhone4. The game could be all yours for just a dollar, as it literally is priced at ninety nine cents!

But before you get started it would be best if you were familiarized with the concepts of the game and so a few wise words will not harm you. Like most others it is not another racing game with titles to be won. And the game contains elements of actual real life time strategies also. The most essential and obvious part is peddling and that too peddling through numerous miles, as such, it I vital to have that accurate and effective information and packing for the racer and is a must if you are willing to complete the race. Your player’s or rather rider’s amount of energy and the amount of exertion can be foretold or predicted and can be managed by essentially using data from the previous races. All in all there are almost twenty one stages or laps to complete and compete which range from sprints to examining time tests to the high course mountain climbs, which are all virtually remade in the Unlocked iPhones. In total there are almost three thousand and six hundred kilo meters to cover with no help from steroids just about the time when you shall be requiring them. If cycling is something that you like this one in particular is just the game to look forward to.

New International Release Dates for the iPad and iPhone 4

Here is some good news for the probable Apple buyers all around the world as the Unlocked iPhone 4 and iPad are now going to be released to various new international markets. In a statement from the company, Apple has said that they will be releasing the iPad in Austria, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, and Netherlands etc in a matter of days and there will be more on the way. With the opening up of so many markets all around the world, it means that there will be more sales for the company and their earnings are set to increase in a major way to the extent that the iPad will now be shipped in the numbers of six million units in a year.

The prices for the Apple iPad which will be Wi-Fi enabled coming with 16 GB memory will be made available at a price of $499 and for $599 for the 32 GB version and there is also another 64 GB iPad which will be available for a hundred dollars more. The individual prices for this device will vary and the 3G iPad will come between a price range of $629 and $829. We think that the prices for this model are pretty good and we can’t wait for the sales for this phone to be expanded. We through our market analyses have found out that the iPad has sold pretty well and the company will hopefully be reaching sales of the level of $1 billion in the upcoming quarter. The success of this device has somewhat bemused us as it does not really offer something really new from the line of the iDevice.

The company is also doing a lot to improve on the shortcomings of the iPhone 4 especially the antenna issue which has been causing a lot of damages to the image of this device. These developments hopefully will be bringing in greater revenue for the company.

Antenna page from Apple after the controversy with iPhone 4

By now we have seen how the iPhone 4 is said to be losing its reception when you hold it in a certain way. There has been much talk about all this and in response to the controversy Apple have launched a web page which says that this is not a problem which is only there on the Unlocked iPhone 4 and it is there in other major smartphones which are there in the market. On this page, Apple has said that this problem affects other phones depending on how you hold them. Furthermore, they have also targeted the media for over hyping this problem.

They said that this kind of signal loss can be seen in any kind of electronic equipment which uses internal antenna system including a television set which shows signal cut if you place your hand over the receiver. They have also said that the degree of the signal cut that may take place when you do put your hand on the signal receiver depends upon the composition and the thickness of the obstruction that is placed on the antenna. They have also pointed out that in mobile phones, when the hand comes over the sensitive part of the antenna the signal does get cut. This according to them is seen not only in the iPhone 4 but also in other major smartphones like the Unlocked BlackBerry Bold 9700, the Droid Eris and their own iPhone 3GS. They have constantly maintained that this is not really a problem which is unique and indeed only a small fraction of their users have reported this problem.

However they have agreed to give their users free bumper cases and even give the owners a refund for the phones that they have bought. We also think that if this problem is not really that unique, then why was this blown out of proportions like this?, Maybe it was just the hype over this phone.

Nokia takes a dig at Apple for the reception issue

It seems that the news about the Antenna problem in the Apple iPhone is the most talked about topic in the mobile phone market. Then why should a major mobile phone manufacturer have to be behind and refrain from making any sort of comments on this issue. This is precisely what happened when Nokia released some sort of statement where they commented on the issue about the reception on the Apple iPhone. While they recognized that this was a major problem saying that even they were trying to work out what could be going wrong, Nokia did not stop at taking some shots at Apple specifically,  the Unlocked iPhone 4.

Although Nokia did not really take the name of Apple, they said how much they invest in making their products the best they can be. Nokia also stated that they have a huge team that solely look at how the people hold their Unlocked Phones and therefore what is the best way that they can help the customers get the best service on their device. In fact, they have also said that they try and put antenna receivers both on the top and the bottom of the device such that there is no chance of the signal dying away. Furthermore Nokia have also said that they specially decide on the material with which they make the frames for their phones such that they do not in any way interfere with the signal reception.

In the wake of all this mudslinging, Apple went on the defensive saying that this was not a problem only seen with the iPhone 4 and they also have created a page where they have pointed out how the ‘death grip’ can similarly affect other phones too. They singled out phones like the Unlocked Black Berry Bold 9700 and the Droid Eris. However they did not mention any Nokia phone though.

Poly9 acquired by Apple-to implement their mapping software with iOS

Online mapping company Poly9 has been recently acquired by Apple and this could signal its complete detachment from Google. The mapping company will soon be launching their mapping services for the iOS platform. Similar to the Google Earth, this company also creates virtual maps which are unrestricted around the world and can be accessed throughout the world without you having to download it. We do think however that their virtual earth is akin to Google Earth.

The Unlocked iPhone 4’s post release popularity is primary due to the fact how it ran on the back of other apps like the Google search, Google maps and YouTube which are all third party apps from Google. However trouble has surfaced as Google now is coming out as a competitor on the smartphone market against the iPhone and seems that Steve Jobs has realized that they cannot really keep on depending on software given by their direct competitors. The tie up was okay but due to the fact that the EVO 4G and the Droid X is soon to be coming out, Apple has decided to go their separate way. These phones are set to become pretty real and good alternates to the iPhone. With this, the rift between the two giants is set to grow. In fact, even Steve Jobs has recently openly reacted about the entry of Google into the smartphone market.

Incidentally Apple has tried to distance itself from Google and has announced that they will be offering Microsoft Bing as an option for the users in terms of the search engine they will employ. Although Google’s engine can still be used, this means that there is a major transition which is on the way. Poly9’s mapping technique is soon going to be used on the Unlocked iPhone and in a short period of time the mapping software of Google will not be available anymore on the iPhone.
