For all those lucky Verizon users who managed to get their hands on an HTC Incredible, there is more good news as the Android 2.2 is about to hit these devices any time soon.

The news was forwarded to us by our sources, who say that the incredible over-the-air update will begin rolling out from August 18. As had been the case with, Unlocked Motorola Droid and its Android 2.2 release, Verizon has this time as well decided to release a small batch of upgrades first, before pushing it fully to the public.

It is expected that the Verizon HTC Incredible will endure great benefit from  the Android 2.2 simply because it manages brings an array of new and awaited improvements for example a much faster browser coupled with an improved performance overall. A simple look at all the features of Andriod 2.2 makes us realise how the OS is apt for the HTC Incredible.

For a long time now the device had taken some sort of a back seat when it came to devices such as the Apple iPhone4 and its latest release and even other Android smartphones such as the Motorola Droid X, the Unlocked Samsung Galaxy S and EVO 4G devices.
