The news was forwarded to us by our sources, who say that the incredible over-the-air update will begin rolling out from August 18. As had been the case with, Unlocked Motorola Droid and its Android 2.2 release, Verizon has this time as well decided to release a small batch of upgrades first, before pushing it fully to the public.

It is expected that the Verizon HTC Incredible will endure great benefit from  the Android 2.2 simply because it manages brings an array of new and awaited improvements for example a much faster browser coupled with an improved performance overall.
