Microsoft Zune Hardware Gone For Good

October 12th, 2011

In the news over the past few weeks has been word that Microsoft is getting out of the music hardware business with the announcement that they will no longer the creating hardware for the Microsoft Zune. Shortly thereafter, we were told that the information posted on their website was false and that there are no plans on getting out of the business anytime soon.Microsoft Zune Hardware Gone For Good

Fast-forward a couple of weeks, and Microsoft once again has put up a notice that they will be discontinuing the hardware for the Microsoft Zune. This time however it appears that it’s official and effective immediately.

We are not surprised by this decision as there has been a very clear line drawn in the sand between the hardware and software aspects of the music industry. The major players are defined on the hardware side where Apple and Android have captured the space and are leading the way in terms of technology and features for mobile phones such as SIM Free Samsung Infuse 4G.

Microsoft Zune Hardware Gone For GoodOn the software side of things it is still a relatively wide open market. With the launch of Microsoft Windows Phone, they are set to try to make a significant dent in the operating system space. As a result, they are focusing all of their efforts on the software side of their business in an attempt to get major distribution across its own platform as well as the other majors. Since all platforms support third-party applications, you can be reasonably sure that we will see the Microsoft Zune service available on all the major platforms including iTunes for SIM Free iPhone 4 and Android marketplace.

Microsoft has enjoyed quite a good run with the Microsoft Zune and we are quite shocked on how long they have been able to effectively stay in the hardware side of the business. This announcement was inevitable and we have to applaud Microsoft for making this decision at a time where it’s important to focus and scale in the areas of their strengths.

First Look at the Samsung Nexus Prime

October 6th, 2011

With everything in the news of late being about Apple, we wanted to mix it up a little bit and present to you a new device from Samsung. The Samsung Nexus Prime is the latest from the manufacturer that is set to be the flagship product Google will support and promote. The phone is set to be launched during the upcoming Samsung press conference but we managed to get a sneak peek of the phone and some of its specifications.First Look at the Samsung Nexus Prime

Specs of the Samsung Nexus Prime have not been 100% confirmed. Based on what’s available online, it appears that the screen is going to be 4.6 inches and use super AMOLED HD resolution that results in 720p quality. This equates to a pixel density of 320 PPI which is more than enough for the human eye.First Look at the Samsung Nexus Prime

The hardware on the phone seems to have undergone some radical changes as well. There are virtually no buttons on the face of the phone as all navigation will be managed by the software and the touch screen capabilities of the Samsung Nexus Prime. This design is based on the fact that Android Ice Cream operating system uses the honeycomb as the base for its functionality. As a result, very little navigation is needed using the physical hardware buttons typically found on phones.

This is yet another case of why Apple needed to release something significant into the marketplace. It is clear that competitors are catching up as we are seeing more and more apple-like devices being launched by several manufacturers. If this phone is anything like the SIM Free Samsung Galaxy S II, you can be sure that it will receive rave reviews and possibly become Samsungs most popular phone given that it will be launched during the holidays.

The service allows for users to rent high-definition movie strain on your Android phones such as SIM Free Sony Ericsson Xperia pro, and has continually grown in popularity since it was first released. It was not long ago that Google first announced the movies on the Android market in May, which will open up a number of different movies at $83.99 to $4.99 price. These movies are going to be new releases on DVD and even some older releases that are still going to be available through the marketplace."Android Movies"

They have made it clear that they are looking to break into the movies streaming market in a big way. With companies like Netflix having issues and making several fumbles recently in our strategy for their business, it is clear that there is going to be an opening in the market here soon. With all of the Android devices that are currently out there, it appears as if Google thinks that their place in the movie streaming department is going to be helped most by their ability to utilize their search engine and operating system for mobile devices in order to spread their service.

"put-play-movies-music-on-android devices" Once you have rented the movie, you were going to be able to watch it for as many as 30 days. If you have an HDMI cord, you may be able to watch these movies on your television, depending on the device that you actually have. However, a recent study estimated that very few of those that state that security is a huge concern and will take further steps and precautions. At this point, it is expected that companies go the extra mile to ensure that the data of their users is safe after some of the large leaks that we have seen in recent times. The most recent study which was conducted by the NPD group, focused mostly on owners of smart devices. 43% of these users said that they were concerned that their activities were being unknowingly monitored. 42% said that they were a little bit worried about hackers having access to their personal files through their Smart device. Only 6% of those involved said that they had installed some security apps on their phone in order to be able to ensure that they remain secure. It seems as if many people worry about security issues that can be associated with mobile devices, but are not willing to really do anything about it.

It will be interesting to see what kinds of measures are taken in the future to allow mobile phone users such as SIM Free Samsung Infuse 4G to be able to ensure that they stay safe when utilizing their smart phone. There are many different apps that are currently out there, but none of them have really taken off in sure the safety of those that use the devices.

September 12th, 2011

Although you might not Microsoft would be profiting from Android, that is exactly what they’re doing. The company has been able to profit from Android throughout the course of his life, and even though sales from their own mobile operating system Windows Phone 7 such as SIM Free HTC 7 Surround, continue to lag behind the rest of the mobile industry, their partnership with Google Android has made them very profitable within the mobile space over the course of the last year. They are expected to make between three and five times as much off of their partnership with Android over licensing fees as they are their own software, which should come as a bit of a surprise to many. The company has also announced new agreements with View sonic and Acer that will bring in a bit more money from a number of different Android vendors."Microsoft"

These agreements were confirmed by Microsoft on Thursday to confirm that they had reached a number of new licensing agreements with various companies. These new deals should give these vendors a little bit on the level of a certain protection against potential patent attacks from Apple, a company that has been very involved in the recent patent court cases that have been going on. It will be interesting to see if Microsoft continues to position them to profit off of the Android operating system such as SIM Free Samsung i897 Captivate 3G. Even with our own operating system starting to garner more users and attention from developers, it is clear that they are aware that they may never be one of the major players within the space.
