Motorola announces H17txt Bluetooth headset with MotoSpeak
If you are one of the many unlocked mobile device junkies that love wearing their Bluetooth headsets all of the time so that you never miss a call you should be excited about the latest announcement from Motorola. The mobile device company has recently released their newest Bluetooth headset known as the H17txt model. This new model of Bluetooth comes equipped with Motorola’s new MotoSpeak technology which is a text-to-speech application that will read text messages as they come in so users do not have to user their hands. This software is currently available for the Android and BlackBerry and will apparently translate 150 different commonly used acronyms so texts that include things like l8r do not read “l,eight,r” but rather their intended “later.” The headset also comes with Motorola’s CrystalTalk noise cancelling technology and boasts a life of 5 hours of talk time and 7 hours standby. Also, this new device has Bluetooth 2.1 compatibility which makes it one the best Bluetooth devices on the market. There is no word about the retail price for this new mobile headset but it should be available through Verizon starting today.

The new Motorola H17txt Bluetooth headset is truly a fascinating device. The most interesting aspect of this new headset is the MotoSpeak technology that will allow users to have their incoming text messages read to them instead of having to read them on their phones. This will be a great feature when people are driving and receive text messages. Motorola users will be able to safely receive their incoming texts while driving instead of having to take their eyes off of the road and read their text messages which can be quite a dangerous feat.
