Gowalla Scores Big in the App Space
Location-based social networking company Gowalla announced today that their updated software is available for download on the iPhone 3GS and 3G platforms. While users can still enjoy the same functionality they are accustomed to with Gowalla there are several new enhanced features with this latest update. These features include a fresh design, photos, checkin commenting, browse friends and Facebook and Twitter integration.
Many users of the Gowalla app are sure to enjoy the latest updates to one of the most popular apps for the iPhone. Gowalla 2.0 now offers users to upload photos when they check in and create new spots. Also, when uploading a photo you will be able to browse photos of friends and see other photos that were taken at that spot.
Checkin commenting is another awesome new feature that comes with the Gowalla 2.0 update. Now when someone checks in at a certain place other users can leave comments and tell people what they think. This will be a great way to build your network while using the Gowalla app.
Another interesting feature that was added was the ability to integrate your Gowalla account with your Facebook and Twitter accounts. Now it is much easier to share your latest check in spots with all of your friends through the grossly popular social networking tools of Facebook and Twitter.
Gowalla is expected to make more announcements on this app during the upcoming South by Southwest conference in Austin, TX which just so happens to be the same location as Gowalla’s company headquarters.
