It was not that long ago that HTC was looked at as an underdog in the Android industry. Now that they have had a few different successful devices, it looks as if the company can do no wrong. Their fans are very popular with mainstream fans and also with hackers and crackers who like to jailbreak the phones and customize them to fit their personal needs. All of the devices have been well designed. Now, they are looking at taking a look at the bootloaders of Android and making some changes.

In 2011 they announced that the bootloaders for their devices Sim free HTC Incredible S, Desire S and all future released phones would be locked and encrypted. What this essentially means for those of you who are not aware what a bootloader does and how it will effect the devices – this means that hackers will have a much harder time using the phones. The bootloader contains the instructions to the hardware and also to the operating system. This is what most hackers used to unlock the phones and customize them for themselves.

Motorola was the first company to make a similar move several years ago when they announced that their bootloaders would be locked and would not allow for hackers to freely make changes to the software. Having unlocked bootloaders essentially means that Sim free HTC Inspire 4G users can write a new set of directions for the hardware and the software to change the way that the phone operates.
Their newest change brought a lot of flak to HTC after they released the Sensation and EVO 3D with locked bootloaders, although most can understand why they would choose to do so. In a recent post to their Facebook, they announced that they were looking into their bootloader situation because of a lowering in customer satisfaction and would be providing more details in the very near future.

There is a long list of various Haptic patents that are out there, but their newest one may just be the most promising that they have to offer. The smart phone such as Sim free Apple iPhone 4 is one that promises to render sensation of the touch of user’s fingers through up to seven different layers. The pressure that is applied to the screen also affects the way that the device renders the touch of the user. If you are a bit confused as to what that might mean, imagine being able to control the shutter of the camera on your device directly through a touch screen.

They have had previous screens that allow for up to two layers of touch, which was last seen when they debuted it at the Wireless Japan expo earlier in the week. They stated at the time that while the technology was exciting, they were looking for ways to flesh it out and expand it to make it even more useful for the average user. Now it looks as though they meant that they were looking to add more layers to the technology to give the user more control with a single touch of the device Such as Sim free iPhone 4. The newest patent shows that they are going to be offering up to seven different layers of touch, allowing users to control their device much more easily.

Although there are currently no Haptic touch screen devices on the market, it is definitely something that you can bet that someone will be taking a risk on in the near future. The company focuses on expanding the technology that it already out there to add functionality and give users more control, although some fear that allowing users to gain access to up to seven different layers of touch might be a little bit confusing and create problems for some users in the process.

Google is constantly updating their Google Maps app, which is easily their most popular standalone app. In fact, it was recently estimated by Marissa Mayer, the head of the Maps app that it would be accessed by more mobile devices such as Sim free Apple iPhone 4 than PC’s by the time 2012 rolls around. It is not a surprise in that case that they are looking to beef up their mobile apps and provide users with as much functionality as possible.

The new version, update 5.5, brings a number of fairly large changes to the app. First of all, you will be able to check in and out of locations as you arrive to them or leave. You will also be able to rate these locations directly through their Google Places program. The Home and Work latitude history is now able to be edited so you can choose what is going to be displayed. Also, the transit pages on Google Maps have been edited so that they show the list of trains that are going to pass through various stations in your area. The app will also show the departure schedule for these trains so you can get a good idea of exactly what is available to you transit wise in your area.

Google Maps 5.5 will still be a free download, as has always been the case with the app. It is clear that Google is looking to flesh out their Google Maps app to get ahead of the few competitors that are trying to compete with them in the space. Google has been able to put together a really awesome package with their newest update that should mostly appeal to those of us that take trains from time to time. You can bet that more updates are on the horizon as Google watches their mobile app for Sim free iPhone 4 finally surpass the average usage of the PC version of their app, which has been their most popular offering for quite some time.

Samsung and Apple are in the middle of a heated patent battle in court over some of the technology that they have been using. In the middle of April, Apple filed a suit against them at that time claiming that they had infringed on a number of patents that Apple had in place that related to the design of several of their products such as Sim Free Apple iPhone 4.

Then, the Judge, Lucy Koh ruled that Apple was going to get a sneak peak at some of the upcoming devices that Samsung was releasing in the near future to make sure that the products did not infringe on any of the patents that they were in court about. Samsung fought the decision, but was ultimately forced to give them a look at some of their most awaited products including the Galaxy S II, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1. Also included in this show off were the Infuse 4G and the Infuse 4G LTE. The court has not yet made an official decision on the matter, but allowing Apple to look at their upcoming releases is definitely something that Samsung did not want to give in to.

The Judge said that Apple was able to provide photos and other information that supported their belief that their patents may be infringed upon, and Koh said that the only logical next step was to allow them to get a look at the products.
The good news to come out of this is that it should not be too big of a blow to Samsung, who was going to be releasing the devices in the near future and had already released a substantial amount of information about the devices such as Sim free Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant anyway. Either way though, they surely do not want to let their competition get a look at some of their upcoming devices or the decision by the judge came as a bit of a surprise to those following the court proceedings.

According to a number of different sources, Dell the Sim free Dell Venue Pro maker, will be unveiling their net luxury notebook to the market. The new notebook will be ultra thin and light in the same way that the Apple Macbook Air is. Dell first launched a similar device, their Adamo line in 2009 but the device did not receive the attention or the following that the company hoped it would, and many found it to be a bit underpowered for the price that they were offering. They went on to introduce some versions of the device that were a little higher powered and less expensive but it appeared that the damage had been done, and the line of laptops ceased in the beginning of 2011.

Now, the company looks to launch another attempt at capturing the market of MacBook Air users that have fallen in love with the slim design and light weight that the device has to offer. The new laptop will be called the XPS 15z. The new device will start selling at £616, which is the same price as the MacBook Air, further proving that the company is attempting to compete with the device.

However, the main difference that you will find between the XPS 15z and the MacBook Air is the screen size. The Dell device will have a 15 inch screen while the Apple device will only have an 11 inch screen. The Dell XPS 15z will be the thinnest 15 inch screen laptop in the world when it is released.
Along with this news, Dell the Sim Free Streak maker also released a teaser video that shows a number of the features that are offered with their new ultra-thin laptop. It will be interesting to see how well the new product does after their previous Adamo line failed so miserably to win the hearts and minds of consumers. Look for more information regarding the supposed launch date of the product to be released in the very near future.

HTC’s first tablet, the HTC Flyer is a device that is only sold at Best Buy at this current time. It has been released for some time now and we have had a chance to play around with it for the first time. There are multiple different versions for different carriers for the device available. The HTC Flyer is very similar to a large version of the HTC Sense, a smart phone that the company released to raving reviews a number of months back. This device, which is essentially the tablet version of the smart device, is one that provides a number of pluses and minuses, making a bit hard to judge at times. For instance, the device does have the included 3D home screen, which was one of the bigger draws to the Sense when it was released. The User Interface has also received some updating and is less clunky than the one that was seen on the phone version.

The device itself is a little over-sized and heavy. This isn’t going to bother everyone that uses it but it surely will be a drawback for some who were looking for a sleek experience. The rear cover of the device does not match both sides of the Flyer with symmetry, so that can be a little bit annoying at times.

The Flyer runs on the Android operating system, and seems to be able to handle it well with the specs that it comes with. The touch screen is receptive and is very easy to use. The buttons on the device are nice and responsive to your touch, which was one of the complaints that many had about the Sense when it was released.
All in all, the experience suing the Flyer is not all that different from what you might expect when you pick up an HTC smart phone like Sim Free HTC Inspire 4G. You can bet that the device will continue to be a popular one moving forward, but the fact that it is only sold at Best Buy might hold it back a little bit from reaching its full potential.

The announcement of the Windows Phone Mango update, which is essentially the update that everyone has been waiting for since the operating system was first released, was followed by an announcement that they would be demonstrating the software today. The software will reportedly first be available on a plethora of different Nokia devices such as Sim Free Nokia E63, which would fall in line with the strategy that Microsoft has taken to grow the platform and ensure that they provide the update in a way that makes sense.

This will be the first handset as a result of the partnership that was announced between Microsoft and Nokia just weeks ago. Nokia released a statement on the matter but did not release any information about when the device will hit the market. The press release that the company released also included the strange wording of “Nokia with Windows Phone,” which looks as though it might be used for branding in the future, so you should probably get used to hearing it.

Microsoft announced that Nokia already had a number of devices running with Mango in their labs, which shows that they are a bit farther along in the process of releasing the devices than most thought when the announcement was first made. Nokia also stated that there will be multiple different devices, and not a single device. Nokia corrected themselves shortly after their press release, which stated that there would be a device released, and not devices, which is good news for people that are eagerly awaiting the release of a Nokia device such as Sim free Nokia 7020 using the Windows Phone Mango software. Look for more information regarding the supposed release dates to be made available in the coming days, and that should give customers a better idea of when they will be able to get their hands on these devices.

Windows Phone 7 such as Sim free HTC 7 Surround is known for the high specs that are required to run devices that run the software. Now Snapdragon has announced that their ultra popular SnapDragon processor which is used in many different mobile devices will become available through a variety of different Windows Phones that are slated for release over the course of the next couple of weeks. Qualcomm has confirmed that Microsoft has chosen their company to provide the processors for a number of new phones that are slated for release in the near future.

The processor that will be used will be the second generation Snapdragon mobile processor. The information was confirmed by in a press release by the Vice President of the company, Steve Mollenkopf. He went on to say that he was excited about the new Windows Update and said that he thought that Windows Phone 7 like Sim free Dell Venue Pro and the Snapdragon processor would be a good fit together.

He also said that they were looking to “leverage the synergy of their highly integrated second generation Snapdragon solution” in conjunction with the windows Phone 7 software, which has been highly reviewed and has attracted a number of prominent device manufacturing and app development companies. The Snapdragon processor is one of the most popular in the mobile industry and it looks as though they will be a big piece of the puzzle in the company’s plans to release future phones and continuing growing Windows as a mobile operating system and a brand. this was not a move that was expected, but is one that seems to make a lot of sense for both companies. Windows Phone is an operating system that will garner quite a bit of attention moving forward, with some analysts guessing that it could be the second most popular platform come 2015, although not all analysts agree.

There are a lot of rumors that constantly surround the iPhone 5, so it can be a little bit hard to decide what is true while we wait for the next generation of the world’s most popular mobile phone. A number of sources have claimed that the upgrades that users will see from the iPhone 5 will be similar to those that were seen between the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS, which might come as a bit of a disappointment to users that were looking for a feature laden release.

The latest rumor claims that Apple has purchased more than 200 glass cutting machines for the purposes of creating curved glass panels for the front of their iPhone 5. It is possible, but the reasoning behind it is not clear at this time. The curved glass panel could potentially be for making the phone fit more comfortably and naturally in the hand. Of course, the back of the phone would not be curved to allow for easier implementation of accessories and other features.

The phone will probably feature a faster processor, a camera that provides higher quality pictures and video and more internal storage – which all seem to be the biggest gripes that users have had with the Sim free iPhone 4 previously. It will be interesting to see how close the rumors were regarding the phone prior to release and see what comes from the new information that the company releases as we get a little closer to the release.
The phone will also probably have new radios that will make it compatible with a number of different carriers including T-Mobile and Sprint, essentially opening the phone up for use to thousands of more users if they so choose to. It will be a while before Apple confirms or denies any of the rumors that have been floating around but you can bet that they will make a real effort at some point here in the future.
